A tree is considered to be native when it naturally grows in the area.

Native trees are better for the environment. Since they naturally grow in the area, other plants and animals flourish around native trees. Their roots grow deeper in the soil too which helps arrest soil erosion.

We can guarantee an 80% seedling survival rate. We are proud to say though, that our recent projects have averaged a survival rate of above 90%.

Yes, you can! Feel free to drop by our nursery on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 1pm to 4pm. The nursery is located at Sitio Roosevelt, Busay, Cebu City. Our caretaker will be there to assist you.

Planting
1. Clear the area where you want to plant your seedling with unwanted weeds and debris. Make sure that a one-meter radius is kept free from other vegetation.
2. Dig a plant hole with dimensions of at least 20 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm.
3. Plant the seedling at proper depth. The root collar should be at level with or a little below the ground surface with the seedling oriented upward.
4. Fill the hole with top or garden soil and press soil firmly around the base of the seedling. In plantation making, a two-meter distance should be maintained between seedlings if planted in rows, each strip three meters away from the next.

Nurturing
1. Remove grass and other unwanted vegetation and cultivate the soil around the base of the seedling (50-centimeter radius) once in every quarter for two to three years.
2. Place mulch around the base of the seedling (maintaining the 50-centimeter radius and using cut grass, leaves, and other suitable materials as mulch base).
3. Prune the branches at most 50 percent of the crown depth, preferably during dry season, and ensure that when pruning, you do not injure the bark.
4. Remove infected or infested vegetation nearby to stop plant diseases from spreading and contaminating your seedling.
5. Monitor regularly the growth of the seedling for presence of pests and diseases.
