Living up to its dedication to give back to the environment, Taft Punta Engaño Property, Inc. has recently completed the Seagrove Seedling Production Project last February 2020 with RAFI’s One to Tree. The project started in March 2019 and has reaped environmental and economical rewards for multiple coastal areas in Cebu.
The total donation amounted to ₱575,977.50. With the donation and the help from the local partners, the project was able to yield 24,000 seedlings in the vast expanse of the coastal regions. The One to Tree team was able to help out not only with the farmers, but the local fisherfolk have noticed an increase in their catch as well.
Even though the project has concluded, the team hopes for more seagrove-focused projects in the future.
