Therma South, Inc. remained true to its commitment to adapt environmentally conscious business practices by partaking in a massive Carbon Sink Management Program (TSI-CSMP). The program was spearheaded by Therma South, Inc., while the One to Tree team provided the guidance and direction.
The project aimed to mitigate the emission of greenhouses gases from Therma South’s plants and factories. But the project is also expected to have far-reaching effects that will significantly change the environmental landscape even outside their plants and factories. The project site was set in Marilog, Davao City. It commenced in November 2019 and is expected to conclude in October 2026.
The company has already donated a total of ₱25,329,324.31 to support the seven-year project.
A Carbon Sink Management Program like the one that Therma South, Inc. is currently undertaking, is one of the best ways to sequester carbon emissions. The main challenge is to grow enough trees to effectively reduce the greenhouse gas emissions.
One to Tree, a program of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., offers community-based and environmentally appropriate tree growing services.
